Sogin
SOGIN (Society for the Management of Nuclear Plants) is the Italian State company responsible for the decommissioning of Italian nuclear plants and the management and securing of the radioactive waste produced by industrial, research and nuclear medicine activities.
In addition to four former nuclear plants in Trino, Caorso, Latina and Garigliano and the Bosco Marengo FN plant, Sogin manages the decommissioning of the former ENEA research plants designed to study the fuel cycle: EUREX in Saluggia, OPEC and IPU in Casaccia and ITREC in Rotondella.
For Sogin, Cacciari Impianti has managed and maintained the perfect working order of the nuclear material storage plants, in particular by replacing and testing the capacity of the accumulator batteries.
